Europäisches Haus in Berlin hosted today ECMPF
Berlin [ENA] In the Europäisches Haus, Unter den Linden, Berlin is taking place the Conference organized by the European Center for Press and Media Freedom. The Conference is dealing with a hot issue for various countries in the European Union : freedom of press and investigative journalism. Investigative journalism is concerned with revealing what others want to hide and its importance for democracy must be utmost appreciated.

Usually public opinion is not very concerned for example on the misuse of European Union Funds. People don’t like to read large stories so it’s also important to make texts easy to understand and translate them into videos to reach more and more people.
The IJ4EU fund, an initiative of the European Parliament and the European Commission, was established to provide public support for investigative journalism in Europe. Pavla Holcová, a member of the independent jury that awarded the inaugural IJ4EU grants to 12 cross-border projects in Europe, shared why in the European Union one should care more and more about investigative journalism – and ensure that it is properly funded.
